Browser extension development

Extension specialists
from concept to store launch.

01

Custom extension development

We build browser extensions from scratch around your product logic, user journey and business goals.

02

Chrome, Edge, Firefox & Safari

We create a maintainable cross-browser architecture and handle browser-specific APIs where they differ.

03

Manifest V3 migration

We modernize legacy extensions, replace deprecated patterns and move complex products safely to MV3.

04

Backend & API integrations

Authentication, payments, AI services, CRM, affiliate platforms, analytics and your own product APIs.

05

Store publishing

We prepare production builds, permissions, listings and review materials for browser extension stores.

06

Maintenance & support

We keep extensions compatible, secure and release-ready as browsers, APIs and store policies evolve.

Working with TabForge

Clients come to TabForge
for deep extension expertise.

We chose TabForge because we needed people who actually specialize in browser extensions. The team owned architecture, content scripts, permissions, QA and publishing instead of treating the extension like a small side project.

MS
Maya StoneFounder, SaaS startup

The TabForge team migrated our legacy extension to Manifest V3 without derailing the product roadmap. Stability improved and releases became much easier for our internal team to manage.

FAQ

The essentials,
answered.

If you are planning, rebuilding or migrating a browser extension, send TabForge a note and we will help you choose the right technical path.

How long does development take?

A focused MVP usually takes 4–6 weeks. A more advanced product with authentication, backend integrations and multiple browsers typically takes 8–14 weeks.

Do you build for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge?

Yes. We use a shared codebase and isolate browser-specific behavior in adapters so you are not maintaining four separate products.

Do you work with Manifest V3?

Yes. New Chrome and Edge extensions are designed around MV3: service workers, strict CSP, permissions and modern content-script patterns.

Can you migrate an existing extension?

Yes. We begin with a technical audit, move the critical pieces in stages and aim to preserve release continuity throughout the migration.

Do you help with store submission?

Yes. We prepare builds, descriptions, screenshots, permission rationale and support the review process through publication.
